Hello blogging world...I have missed you.

Can I just say how grateful I am for everything in my life right now?
I am so blessed...really. Everyone ready for a random, but hopefully entertaining blog post?

So numero uno...
My bestest friend EMILY ROOFIE URE and I got into the College of Nursing at BYU. Pretty big accomplishment, and I have to say I'm proud of myself. All of my hard work and constant state of stress paid off! I'm excited to finally see the direction my life is going, and I like it. Scratch that...I LOVE that. I'm so excited to be a nurse. and help people. and wear scrubs. and travel the world (specifically Africa).

Our new piggy bank nurse...her name is Pam.
Deux...

I love my roommates. They are so great, and all of their beaus are great as well. However, I am especially loving my sisterhood :) Why, do you ask? Well I just so happened to visit Ms. Newton last weekend and she passed along the traveling vest to moi!
YEP! After a very long year...I finally have the vest again! I plan on having a very lucky next couple of months :) The first day I wore it I did have a very good date...so maybe the magic has already begun..
the vest is magical...promise.

Thhhrrreeee...

Thanksgiving was wonderful! I got to spend time with Emily's family, whom I love. And then I got to spend time with my own. I just love my family so much, they are so great even though they constantly make fun of me because my bad luck.
yes...at one point  during the break I mistook my cousin's house for a strangers. And just let myself in...I guess barging in would be a better word...into the house of random strangers...right as they were eating their Thanksgiving meal.

win? or fail?
you decide.

My brother and I also made a Thanksgiving meal at Raintree. It was way fun and we are excellent chefs. I love having bubba here it makes Utah so much better.

Thanksgiving dinner with Bubs :)

I just  signed the number 4. ya... i went there...

Its Christmas time!! Yes..I hate winter...but I love Christmas. Everyone is cheerful. You give presents, you get presents. And for me as a college student it means getting my butt out of Provo and going back to Indiana. I can not wait to go home and see my amazing family. My friends (especially you Shelby Mayner). Eat at all of my favorite places. See everyone from my old ward. And many other things.
I also am starting to enjoy my Christmas music. My favorite part though, is buying/ making Christmas presents. It really is my favorite part, I love giving presents. And although I'm not his biggest fan I have to admit, I love this song...

5...
I guess love is in the air because I feel like everyone I know is getting married, engaged, or in a relationship. And honestly it makes me so happy. I love seeing people happy. And I'm gonna be a great bridesmaid, I love planning for this kind of stuff. :) I know the question on everyone's mind is what about you Lauren? Well as for me I'm dating, but I want to go on a mission...so trying to not get too distracted with the male gender. ;) But until that day in the far-off future when I do find the man of my dreams I can admire perfect things like this ring...
or this dress...
or this one...
and I kind of want a scrabble themed wedding...
I LOVE SCRABBLE.

Oh pinterest...you have given me so many ideas....but high expectations.
curse you.

This movie was my first obsession....healthy obsession ;)

As you can tell from the theme of my blog I love Alice.

My love for this timeless tale began when I was a little girl.
maybe it's because we look alike..
or that I also have freaky dreams...
maybe it's that I love cats, stripes, birthday parties...

whatever it was I fell in love.

SO. get ready for a funny story.

ready yet?

okay so here I am this adorable little girl who goes to bear her testimony for the first time. My mother goes up with me to help me say "the right" thing. But being the weird person I am I go up to podium...and grab the microphone. Where I proceed to belt out the "Alice in Wonderland" tune in front of the entire congregation.

Ya I'm cool.

Anyways Alice is my favorite. And Johnny Depp is great in the movie.
Am I secretly upset that I didn't star in the role of Alice? A little.

Seriously such a great film. I own both versions :)

So when it came to choosing who I was gonna be for Halloween...there was no question.
