Hope...

I have found a new love for the word hope. During General Conference I have learned that I must;
""Look up and "have a perfect brightness of hope" - Robert D. Hales

I must have hope that all things will work out, that God is there, that everything will be okay in my life, that I will have a family someday, that I will be what I want to be, that if I follow the Lord, all things will happen the way they are supposed to be.

We must remember to have hope.

I LOVE being a Mormon.

but really...I am so lucky. Not only do I have the wonderful gospel in my life, but I get to be surrounded by people who share the same beliefs as me.
GO COUGARS!!!

I love Provo.

I love BYU.

I love  my ward.

I love the temple.

I love religion classes.

I love general conference.

I have so many opportunities that I have completely taken for granted. I am now a Junior here at BYU and I have not once been to the Provo temple, until this week. I am a complete slacker, because this temple is barely a mile away from my apartment....so lame.
I did finally go though, and it was amazing. I have been on a spiritual high since Thursday...why did I rob myself of these feelings for so long? Kenzie and I have decided to go once a month, and we will stick to it.

I also went to general conference today, where President Monson made a late entry to announce a
2nd Provo Temple?!?!
history was made today....and I got to be a part of it.
Like I said...so lucky.

that's right world.... I'M BACK!
I'm no longer waiting for something in my life to change... I have come to the realization that I just need to change.

SOoOoO...what did I do?
I left all of my problems at the door...and I am trying to move on.

I believe that...

I am smart enough to be on the -> DEANS LIST @ BYU...ya that's right, I'm on that list..

I am good enough to get in the --> nursing program (I find out on Halloween)

I am a spiritual person who -> reads her scriptures and prays everyday

I am a good person who --> deserves to be happy, and make the most of my life

I have so much to look forward to...and to quote a song "Nothing is going to bring me down"

I promise to do funny/ inspiring posts from now on :)

P.S. this girl is awesome...I have adopted her motto...

time flies...

time does fly.

I have been known to have one of THE WORST memories of all time, but lately my mind has been bombarded with memories of my time here at BYU.
((It might be the fact I'm living in my empty apartment until Tuesday))

Just to name a few.

Going to BYU football games...

The days when I didn't like boys (or tried not too)...

Living in the dorms...

The sisterhood...

Being weird...

Living in an apartment with my best friends...

Going to hockey games...

Or participating in religious chalk throwing festivities...

It's been a good two years.

A lot of laughing, studying, eating, crying, picture taking, partying, loving, sleeping, and craziness

Sometimes I wish I could re-live some of these...but why waste time thinking about the impossible?

Yes my sophomore year has come to a close, but I have so much ahead of me...we all do!

I'm ready to go out into the world and make new memories, and live life to its fullest. Yes, there will be more goodbyes, more tears, and more heartbreak waiting for me in the future. But that's just part of life..huh?

I'm ready for summer 2011.

There is a permanent rain cloud above my head...

...Seriously.

My mother told me that it may be my great grandmother's cursed ring that has been causing all of my bad luck.

but I've taken off the stupid ring..and crazy things are still happening to me.

I'm starting to believe all of it is just me.

My sophomore year at BYU has just been a crazy year full of unwanted surprises.

First my accident, then my other date that was literally just as bad as the accident since it was seriously the most awkward two hours of my life. For the sake of courtesy I will not tell what happened that night.

But don't worry.. I will probably be publishing a book sometime down the road narrated: "The Book of Unfortunate Dates".

Honestly, I could write a book on all of the crazy relationships, dates, and boys that have come into my life.

I'd be like the Taylor Swift of publishing.

Speaking of T. Swift. I LOVE her new album.
Can the song "Mine" please just be my life?

So ever since the accident my life has just become a series of unfortunate events. It is truly amazing.

I had to drop a class because of the accident, and found out later that I lost my scholarship because of it.
-yipppeee!!
now I am trying to petition for my scholarship back and all of that good stuff.

and what really knocked me over the edge today...was BYU parking.

So I've been driving my grandmother's car for the past week so that I can drive to my hospital, therapy, and all other appointments I have during the week. Well at King Henry you must have a parking pass, unless you park on the street.

Well you see last night as I was coming home there were NO parking spots on the street, and my handicap sticker does me no good since King Henry doesn't have handicapped parking. So what other choice did I have but to park in the parking lot?
I also thought...what are the chances that between 11 pm and 5 am on a Sunday they are going to check parking.

well....A BIG ONE IT SEEMS.

I get up at 5 this morning with only 2 hours of sleep under my belt to find a nasty, rusty, orange boot on my Grandmother's car. Oh and a note that I could have sworn this morning said...

"HAHA we got you! If you ever want to drive your car again and not see it towed by our trucks...you have to give us $50 dollars...sucker."

So now I'm late to work, had to wake up my poor roommate to take me to TACO freaking BELL, and I forgot to grab food..so I'm STARVING.

And of course when I called and explained my situation with the handicapped pass and me not being able to walk very far to the parking guy...he had NO sympathy what so ever.
In fact he was rude. And couldn't even look me in the eye when he took MY $50 dollars from my hand.

((So I sort of brought my crutches out, put my knee brace on, had tears rolling down my face...hoping to bring out a sympathy card))

but that helped nothing.

I fail as a damsel in distress.

As much as I am complaining I am very blessed. I have wonderful roommates who I love. And some great new friends at King Henry who have made life fun and enjoyable again.

Now I must be off. Carli is insisting I buy a lucky charm...she's thinking a rabbit foot.
