You know the feeling of your heart breaking into a million pieces and there's nothing that you can do to make it feel better?

This is me today.

and the world spins madly on...

So peeps...this weekend was Parents Weekend here at Brigham Young Universitayyyy.

Anywhos....it was a blast! My fam-damily is the bestest.

Really though...don't even bother trying to compare. I have lucy...therefore I win.

My family arrived Friday promptly after my music 101 class (by the way I OWNED that midterm)
And being the perfect wonderful daughter I am...I bought them kneaders pumpkin chocolate bread.
Then we continued to indulge in our fall pumpkin cravings and went to the Sweet Tooth Fairy ((my mother is obsessed with cupcakes...you know it's true mom...love you.))

Bet you wish you had one, huh?
We had a little sibling reunion... and we were constantly reminded by Ponyy (darn you ponita!!!) that we were horrible siblings because we didn't constantly tell her we miss her ;) jk... pony. but seriously your crazy..  In all seriousness we missed the rest of the Ford/Marquart clan and we took a vote and decided everyone needs to move out to UTAH
We went to a "BLUAU" and lucy got to meet Cosmo, clay learned the Haka, and the rest of us just ate really good food. :) We made a bad decision by sitting in the front row, which meant we were only a few feet away from Marching band when they came in to play. Our eardrums were completely shot and poor Lu was covering her ears most of the time, she kept saying she was in a "bad mood" because her ears hurt.
We then went to the Matern's house and played "Just Dance 3". Seriously...what an AWESOME game! Its so much fun plus I sweat like a monkey by the end. Screw running...I'm buying a wii.
Oh...wait. I'm a poor college student.
Another dream...gone.
Anyone want to donate a wii to my apartment? My roommates and I would love you FOREVER.

SIDENOTE:
Lucy is a monster. And I feel bad for the man who marries her.
She literally makes 360 turns throughout the night.
Puts her cute little behind in your face.
Oh and screams in her sleep.
Lets just say Lu is the BEST form of birth control.
The next day we had the tailgate where we got to see VOCALPOINT perform.
They are so awesome. If only I wasn't going on a mission...
Then we went to the game...and we MURDERED Idaho...kinda like how Utah murdered us..
..such a sad day.
But I think with Riley as quarterback we have redeemed our somewhat good name :)
<-- I love this woman. Best mom in the world award goes to her. She is my best friend, and it's scary how much we are a like. She is so wonderful for coming out here, I miss her all the time.

--> Penguin...I mean Sam, was Lucy's "female dog" during the game. She seems to have that affect on men...lucky. haha but really Sam is great.

Lucy and I had a sleepover which was crazyy fun....for her at least. Kenzi and I literally became her coloring board, as she wrote ALL over our faces. fun? Let's just say I will never take my make-up remover for granted. one of my best buys. Here is a great example....thanks again Kenz for being such a great sport.
All in all a wonderfully amazing weekend filled with lots of needed family time. Seriously jealous of my roommates who have rents who live close by.

The weekend did not end so well however, when Lucy got pink eye from my roommate. The next picture may make you tear up...I definitely did.

All of my emotions wrapped into one blog...ready set go.

Midterms....suck.
Seriously though...studying is the worst, and it makes everyone else stressed...and no one is happy.
Need some "motivation"? Well emilyure and I made a special video to do just that...
-->watch this

Sophia Grace....Why am I not as cool as Sophia Grace, Rosie, Ellen, or Nicki Minaj?
Did I almost cry watching this little girl freak out? ya...maybe a little. :)
watch this NOW if you haven't yet.
This one first--> Singing Nicki... (my favorite part of this video is the cousin, Rosie)
Then this one-->Meeting Nicki...

The male race is dumb.... to wrap this statement up without name calling...here is a helpful hint to the men reading my blog...
Television....where have you been all my life? I used to not watch the tele, but I have become "obsessed" with a few shows. Do I really have time for all of these shows? Not really, but a girl needs a break from studying every now and then...

VD, Modern Family, Community, New Girl, 90210, Glee, Pan Am, The Secret Circle, Bones, The Sing Off.

Telefund.... I love my job. Really though, its the best. I'm doing something that actually makes a difference and helps people, I can make someone's day, I can do my homework while working, I can play games while I work, I occasionally get fed, I get to have "girl talk" with my girls, I can mess around with my boys (aka travispearson), have scrabble battles with shawnwatkins...its a great place.

And finally...
Dancing.... is great. On Sunday a certain guy took me to the gazebo behind our apartments and danced with me for at least an hour, which was amazing. And then my ward did a swing dancing lesson thing yesterday and I had a blast. I drug my friend Skyler along and we had a great time. I forgot how much I love it. I need to dance more often.

The end.

Do I have small obsessions?

yes...I think I do.

I definitely obsess over pumpkin.

I LOVE PUMPKIN!!!!

I love the smell, the taste, the time of the year it comes around (FALL)

This is my favorite smell:
 This is my favorite dessert:
This is the costume my baby will wear:

So cuteeee...right?
oh and I just bought pumpkin bagels, bread, and a candle...like I said a small obsession.

At least I can share it with Hillary Newton (who texts me every time she sees something pumpkin)

Can I also mention how excited I am for our ward pumpkin carving contest????

I have already been online searching for good ideas...so boys from the ward who want a partner who has great potential to win...call me. ;)

Second obsession...movies.

My roommates refer to me as a... "movie fiend"

I actually just counted the number of movies I own.... 68.
I have a problem.
Every time I go to Walmart I run to the $5 dollar bin. And if I'm feeling super adventurous I go to the more expensive $15 dollar movies.

My most recent buys: The Notebook, Mean Girls, Bring it On, Inception, and The Phantom of the Opera.

Did I mention how much I love Netflix
Kenzi and I have a cuddle party at least once a week and watch a new flic

So anyways...between McKenzie Painter winning the MISS UVU PAGEANT and going to the BYU FOOTBALL GAME...my apartment will be having an awesome popcorn/movie weekend...let us know if you want to join!!
I would say obsessions are actually not such a bad thing...totally overrated :)

So I guess this is what I have become...

a Hermit Crab.

My roommates have called me out a couple of times of being a lot like this weird tiny creature.

Why might you ask?

Because I have a strange tendency to find tight dark corners and sit there to either study or watch a movie.

Ya... I guess it is pretty weird. But I can't help liking the quiet spaces.
Whenever I'm on campus my preferred study area is not the rather social 5th floor of the library, nor the cougareat, but a quiet low-key back hallway.

((Funny side-note)): As I am writing this there is some guy sitting in front of me who is tapping along to his music. But no..he is not really "tapping". It looks a lot more like he is having a seizure...and I am trying really hard not to laugh...I wish someone was here to appreciate this with me. People watching is great stuff.

Maybe it's the introvert inside of me that wants to be alone. I don't like the thought of someone watching me as I eat, study, or sit. Because more than likely they are judging or making fun of me...kinda like I am with seizure boy in front of me. :)

Anyways...back to studying.

Hope...

I have found a new love for the word hope. During General Conference I have learned that I must;
""Look up and "have a perfect brightness of hope" - Robert D. Hales

I must have hope that all things will work out, that God is there, that everything will be okay in my life, that I will have a family someday, that I will be what I want to be, that if I follow the Lord, all things will happen the way they are supposed to be.

We must remember to have hope.

I LOVE being a Mormon.

but really...I am so lucky. Not only do I have the wonderful gospel in my life, but I get to be surrounded by people who share the same beliefs as me.
GO COUGARS!!!

I love Provo.

I love BYU.

I love  my ward.

I love the temple.

I love religion classes.

I love general conference.

I have so many opportunities that I have completely taken for granted. I am now a Junior here at BYU and I have not once been to the Provo temple, until this week. I am a complete slacker, because this temple is barely a mile away from my apartment....so lame.
I did finally go though, and it was amazing. I have been on a spiritual high since Thursday...why did I rob myself of these feelings for so long? Kenzie and I have decided to go once a month, and we will stick to it.

I also went to general conference today, where President Monson made a late entry to announce a
2nd Provo Temple?!?!
history was made today....and I got to be a part of it.
Like I said...so lucky.
